I use both traditional on some bungalow and some flats the rest WFP.

For me i get greater satisfaction doing traditional but slightly quicker using WFP.

It ain't that much quicker on your standard 3 bed semi for someone who is pretty quick doing traditional unless its leaded.

Or i'm cleaning over the top with WFP

Its been said that how can you compare the two, they are 2 differant tools it would be like saying whats better a hammer or a screwdriver  ::)

But if you want a comparison this is my thought

TRAD + Pros

can clean any window if you can get to it.
simplisity, Get to see the results straightaway. start up costs are cheaper than WFP and tools are easily replaced

TRAD+ cons

leaded windows are a pain to clean, Some windows need ladders that are on uneven ground> winter floors become too dangerous to walk on to clean windows. in direct sunlight windows are harder to clean because of soap drying to fast

on ladders all day is more dangerous

WFP + pros

Quicker +Safe can get to more windows that means more money windows stay cleaner longer and all windows are a joy to clean ( leaded and georgion )

WFP + cons

Cost in setting up and replacing parts , Not all windows take to WFP, Snagging with hose. Not seeing the results straight away. and building cleans can never be done with WFP

I prefer to use WFP then trad but a trad window does not need wfp but a wfp window cleaner needs trad

Just my thoughts  ;D

WFP + pros

 windows stay cleaner longer

Don't agree I'm afraid.  In fact I reckon that if anything trad windows stay cleaner longer. Reason is they're left dry. Whereas with wfp they're left wet and dust particles in the air will more readily stick to a wet surface than a dry one.

that is a stupid comparison >:( . it is quite obviously a hammer
you can hammer in a screw, but you can't screw in a nail ::) ::) ::)
some people just don't think ;)

i have to agree with this one of late, dirty air has caused me quite a lot of problems but still wfp all the way. No more of that ladder slipping feeling and seeing your life flash before your eyes (sorry trad guys)
