who all fills from tap to DI then into tank? a member on here told me to do this and i honestly never thought of it myself. It will make life so much easier if ye ask me. This way i will have a tank with pure wate rin it and no need to worry bout vessel problems in van and more leaks.

also told to carry spare DI if iwant to fill up whilst out

You would be much better off getting 4040 ro, if you just use di it will cost a lot of money unless you are in a soft water area.

Okay......so what would you do if you forgot to check your resin, and all the water in your tank has got a TDS of 0xx. Then what do you do?

If you have the DI after the pump in the van, it's a simple matter of putting new resin in, not so easy with a full tank of water and no DI in the van.

ps. if you use Gardiners NITO fittings, you have zero problems with leaks, quite costly, but worth it!

i'd check a sample of water from tank as i am filling it to monitor TDS.

TDS in my area is 28 or thereabouts

Bad idea IMO, from experience the faster the flow of water through the vessel the shorter the life of the resin. It's very easy to have a leak free system. Have 2 DI's on your van, use Tulsion resin & your resin will last forever (well, almost) ;)
