Twice bitten... I'll kick your dog to kingdom come! New
« on: March 27, 2009, 10:34:24 pm »
Had a job tonight where their Yorkshire Terrier didn't like men for some reason. While walking through the living room the little sod bit at the back of my leg! I asked the custy to keep her dog under cotrol due to the fact that there was a lot of equipment around. Half an hour later and the b....... got me again, "I'll boot that little ---- to kingdom Come if it bites me once more!" I think she heard me too.... this isn't the first time I've had problems with a custys dog!!!

Probably smell your dog on you, I was once bitten by a yorkshire terrier as I was going to my customers house next door to where the dog was, I had to have a jab so I billed the householder £80 as loss of earnings as I had to go to hospital ( Dr's surgery got me in straight away 5 mins from my house) and he paid it, well I did word it as I would take it further.

Never had a dog bite me whilst carpet cleaning, but have had a couple of dogs latch hold of my leg and take out there frustration on it. A bit embarassing when trying to present a professional quotation.

the only time i have had trouble with a dog is this and this will make you laugh if you can imagine the picture

Finished cleaning the carpets in two bed semi and the dog was shut out side as the the customer and i were looking at the the finished work dog got in and sat right behind my machine all packed up ready to go in the van. trouble is it was a st bernard and you try moving one when it does not want too. so after half an hour of asking it politely to move i resorted to getting my sandwiches at the van dog moved but i then was hungry for the rest of the day

As someone who has a rather large pet (picture to the left) I do have a dislike for small snappy mutts.
We do window cleaning too and at one large property the old lady had a carer who brought her snappy terrier thing with her.
Now it was fine with women but had a dislike of men, which was a pain as it was insides and outs every month.
Now this horrid creature would jump up and try and get your hands (it wasn't bothered about feet, legs etc), the time came where my hand dropped low enough for it to jump and bite me. Cleaned off the blood, put a plaster on, collected the cheque and left, thinking next time dog.
The next time this creature followed me around jumping up trying to get the hand again. I waited till we were out of sight down one of the long hallways and promptly got my foot under the dog and launched it into the air and a good 15 feet down the hallway.
Granted it got the message at that point by running off and so did I because we've not been back there since. Personally I don't blame the dog I blame the owner.

I can beat all of you ( well not me personally )
A few years ago a carpet cleaner friend of mine was cleaning in a home for people with mental problems.
As it was a secure unit he had to bring in everything he would need before he could start.
He was happily cleaning away, turned round and saw one of the " residents "
peeing all over his kit ;D
He did not find it funny at the time but when he told me I nearly wet my trousers.

Many many years ago whilst cleaning some carpets there was a jack russell that would not stop chasing the floor wand as we were cleaning and biting the end of the pump sprayer so my colleague did what he had to do. Yes he pumped the little bugger full of prespray

The dog then dissapeared into the kitchen and promptly brought the lot up on the carpet tiles, and yes we did charge for cleaning them as an extra
