Glyder arrived today PICS

Got the glyder today.

Clamps are sorted. Very rigid. Solid feel.

Light enough to hold above your head for short periods if required.

I am pictured holding the pole so the end cap is at knee level. Could gain an extra 5 feet or so by reaching up.

;) dead right about the camera. Crappy 2meg job on the blackberry. Also, I think a drop of rain must be on the lens. Oh well, at least you get the idea.

Whats the weight of the pole,
I thought (NEC)it would have a lot of sales for people with employees as it should take the rough treatment.

Yes. I think a balance between toughness and lightness. Clamps are tough. We have employees and they are gonna love this pole. Less trips to the van to change poles.

Do you find it odd with the clamp leavers on the right of the pole? as a right handed user would have his/her (equality & all that ::)) left hand as the clamp hand?

Yea same here, I don't think I could get used to that very easily, I'm used to the X-tel and SLX.

I think you`ll find it works the same as the SLX if you lead with the left hand,to release the clamp it would be no different to the SLX.

This is how I work, holding the pole in my right, tucked under my arm for adjusting with my left hand undoing or tightening the clamp!

No different to the SLX,most people are right handed therefore IMO the clamps should be on the other side.
