Mould in carpet
« on: March 19, 2009, 09:15:16 pm »
Priced up a job today, modern empty townhouse that had been rented out.
Inside the built-in cupboard in one bedroom that backed onto the shower of the ensuite next door was a damp dark patch in the corner that the owner said was due to the shower that had leaked next door, looked like mould and explained I weren't sure if much could be done to totally remove it, but they have asked me to do whatever I can.
Whats the best way to treat this?

It doesn't come off but you can make it better. If it's black you can start with a citrus gel to get the top off then usually bleach like sod met but don't spend loads of time on it unless you are getting paid well for it or making friends!! if it's gone brown just try some sod met but basically it's knacked.
