A good average calculation formula is as follows:
500,000 / the tds of the water = approximately how many litres you'll get from a 25 litre sack of resin. Divide the figure by 25 and times it by thye size of your canister to get your desired litre amount.
There are resins that will perform better than this, but it is a good starting point. Also if you use twin canisters you will extend this figure greatly. For the resin we sell I tend to use a starting figure of about 600,000 - 650,000.
