I decided two weeks ago to have a double page add in a little mag that comes out monthly, and delivered free to homes quite local to me. It looks a bit like a parish magazine, but it isnt one!
Anyway i have been advertising with this little mag for over a year now and it has always more than paid for itself So i decided to do a  SPRING MADNESS OFFER this month to see what happens, you know the score, ie 2 for 1, or, your three piece suite cleaned and your lounge done for free!! so i booked the two centre pages of 4 different directories local to me, which would go out to 26k homes.
To day it went out in the first area and it generated 17 phone calls, of which i have made 13 appointments over the next two days now that is only from the first book on the first day, and based on that i will be running this SPRING MADNESS OFFER until Xmas 2005!!!
Who said it was lean times

Just to see if we get a fair price for local directory advertisimg.

What is the size A5 or A4 Did you have two full pages.

Why i ask is we have a local directory that goes to 26k homes.

Not a mag but the type you keep for a year and it costs about , cant remember exactly what I paying , £250 for  a very small advert.

The size is A5 and i went in the two centre pages of four directories.

I did a deal and got it for £350 for 1 month
