Best form of advertising.
« on: March 12, 2009, 08:32:39 pm »
Ok guys and gals which has worked best for you? :D
We are already in Yellow Pages, done leaflet dropping, done leaflets in shop windows,no good at the old face to face business lol ::)
I know some will say knock on doors etc but believe me lol I would put off potential customers with the way i talk ::)
Anyhow its the con roof and upvc side we are wanting to push so any input as to best results from ads would be great :D

Thanks in advance...Pete

Best money you can spend on advertising!
Also a high vis vest/jacket with your company details on the back works wonders and only costs a few quid.

You're putting yourself down Pete. You come across perfectly lucidly on here and that will come across to your potential custies.

Dress smart, smile wide and leave a card - that's it. They may not say yes there and then but they will later. (When they see your sign written van!)
It's a game of three halves!

I agree, people are after a window cleaner not a Lawyer, so as long as your polite you'll be fine.

leaflets. Done very well. Prepare for the knockers.       10000  plus a few magazine adverts produced £25k p.a.  in 14 months. Never canvassed once.

Vast majority from leaflets. plus the rest  from www   and yell. com.     all are good.   leaflets the best. You get good customers thru leaflets.

Figures can be misleading - i got £1000 last year from one business card. It's the number of jobs we should be looking at not the turnover.

If Yell.com got me one job of £2000 all year then that's great.......... or is it? One job from them is pathetic really.
