Petrol power washer run off a wfp set up.
« on: March 04, 2009, 03:55:17 pm »
Hi guys,

Ive seen a post like this before but cant find it through the search.

Can I run a powerwasher from my van? What would the setting have to be on my flow?

Ive got a freedom trolley converted to a van mount.

Also if I fill my empty tank (250l) with normal tap water, will it affect the TDS of my pure water when I re-fill my tank?

Many thanks in advance.

I have a loncin power washer and is a gr8 machine,  YES you just pop the suction in hose in your tank and off you go, i dont know which one you have or getting but mine uses more water than can be supplied from a standard tap so can only be used from a tank

I have just converted a 650 litre tank with a one inch outlet to supply one pressure washer and a wfp set up, two reels.

I have a tap to the pressure washer and then a second tap to the wfp hosereels.

When I switch the tap off to the reels I do not get any pressure washing water into my system and as long as you drain the tank tds is not affected at all.

thanks guys,

Ive got a pessure washer thats fed by a normal hoselock.

What im thinking is will my maximum flowrate be enough to sustain the required water pressure for my washer?

Thanks again.

I run a honda pressure washer off one side of a 500L tank and my wfp system off the other (pressure washer is 15lpm so needs a tank anyway).
I do find that when I have used tap water in the tank (tds in my area circa 300) then no matter how I drain when I refill with 0 tds the tank will still read a lot higher.  All I do is run a di vessel in line on the wfp side for a couple of fills.
