hi guys, will be getting my poles soon as i have the vac etc allready.  just wondering how busy you are and where you advertise.  Is there a big demand for gutter cleaning?  i will give all my customers a leaflet when i get them done after i get my poles.  Just waiting for more money as pressure washinf is very quiet at mo.

All the extra rain brings in extra customers as this is the time most people take notice of their guttering.
Then you get the ones who like to keep it looking clean and in good condition, we at the moment have loads of guttering to do, so get those leaflets out.

cheers mate, do you just do the sludge inside the gutter or the fascia and outer gutters?

No I do the lot or nothing, if there insistant on Just the internal clean then I charge for a full clean but I'm in a position were I can choose what I do.

It still takes time to set everything up and clear away so  I charge good prices.

Dont worry to much it will be money well spent and it is another source of income. Get a web site up and running and it will bring in a few extra customers at very little cost. i clean inside and out both easy to do.

do you use traffic film remover and pressure washing extendable lance to clean the outer gutter and fascia? do you run the trf through your pressure washer?

I do both I also use a pole and brush run off an outside tap whatever it takes. Black stains do not always come out, always advise customer before that some black marks may not be completly removed. Its trial and error.

how do you apply the tfr?  i just ordered my gutter cleaning poles so im made up.  can start getting organised and promoting soon.

Who you getting the poles from. I use a pump up with long reach lance. I cant find the web site for the lance at the moment but when I do Iwill send you address.

getting the poles from alex.  do you go up the ladder to spray the gutters with tfr? wouldnt a pole from the ground be better to apply tfr.

just seen a 3 metre extandable pump sprayer lance on that website? i suppose i could use a step ladder and a 3 metre lance with pump spray to apply tfr?

is it ok to use custies electric or should i use a generator? i might have to use custies elecrtic at first till i can afford a gernerator.  what gene would be suitable or can you recommend a type or model?

hi guys just looked at this from screw fix to power my 3000w wet n dry vac for gutter vacuuming. will this be ok?

the generator is only rated at 2500 w but my vac is 3000 w so is this no good?  i might just use custies socket to save money. :

There is a 5 mtr lance on that site, you need about 5kva gennie. We always try to use customers electric supply residential and commerical where poss easer for us. You will need an extension lead, go to an electrical suppliers tell them what you are using it for plus the power rating for the hoover they will make you one up or supply you the bits. We use the gutter vac from omnipole with alloy poles, Are your poles carbon? and if you dont mind me asking how much do they cost.

poles carbon yeah, 59 quid each.  i got my extension cable from screw fix, 50 metres.
would this generator be enough for vac?

Thanks, I get a far bit of work from the web site yes on google. A 5.5 kva should be enough, have a look on the side of you vac it should tell you the max peek of power required. A 5.5 kva = 5500 watts ( i think ). What legth and width are the poles from Alex.

well the 5.5 gene gives 240v which is a normal electric socket supply so it must be enough. its only the same as plugging it into a custies socket surely? 

the poles are 5ft long. i got 4 of them.
