what a day
« on: March 03, 2009, 10:27:57 am »
this is for anyone thinking that starting a window cleaning biz is a walk in the park! On top of all the lost earnings from snow etc and tax bill end of jan, i set off this morning and then my clutch goes so not only will i earn nothing again but have a bill of £700 to pay sometimes this job sucks!! ;)

with the wind and rain today you might not have done as well as you think, at least in my area thats the case. I just scrapped my last vehicle for the same reason, the clutch was going and it was going to cost a fortune, so I bought a nice shinny van, and its much better.

There was allot of other things wrong with the vehicle I scrapped, so it was more economical to to get a new one, and at least I know the one I have now is more reliable than my last.

Just what you dont need.

Makes me laugh about the earnings you see on this site.

When you first start out their is no way, (unless you have bought a round), that you can earn some of the sums quoted.

Takes a couple of years or in some cases more. And now there are more people having a go then it will be even harder especialy when they quote silly prices to get the biz.

Hope you get back on the road soon.

there is and always have been people doing this for silly money and i still have work so don't realy worry about that as try to build some sort of relationship with them then less chance of letting you go. But anyone who thinks running a biz is easy are gonna get a wake up call, its not easy and sometimes its bloody hard and i have been at it 4 years now so not fly by night but sometimes life would be easier working for someone else so as i don't have to worry about so much, thankfully i do get some pretty big jobs to do or i would be in the poo!!
