Now gone and lost my email address

As you all know , i am having trouble with my website.

Now my business email connected with that site has now shut down and i cant receive my business emails.

That account is connected with all my business correspondence and remittence advice etc.

It is on all my stationary and all my advertising literature.

I think I will go back to bed now   ;D

Same happened to me i was with tiscali, but, email was at home, when i transferred it to the office & had th house one turned off, they carried out an irreversible termination.

I had just had 5000 full colour brochures, new letterheads & cards designed & printed. Still waiting for a response for compensation.

that was careless.  :D

I have just picked up a mini laptop and a second copy of wcp. I also have a pda for every day use, hope I don,t get a virus.

wcp is a really useful piece of kit with two copies i can leave one with fergus and he does all the entries and worklists, at the end of the year all the acounts are done without putting pen to paper.

next thing will have to be a website.

always use your own email address whatever@yourdomainname.co.uk use free email address and change providor you will lose the lot, and Before Dave says it was his own email address, that should have been registered to you as you now know.

makes me cring when I see whatever@btinternet ect on a van and flyers as I can see these people losing out in the end you are stuck with one supplier if you do this. get it right first time and these type of problems should not happen. I do feel for you Dave as you have been proper stiched up.

You know more about this stuff than I do but if Dave still owns the website address can he not set up a catch all email address??

I only own it in the sense that a guy registered it on my behalf, trouble is getting it signed over to me.

A bit of good news , email from website is now coming to me the guy sent me the mail.to details, and it looks like the website is hosted in its own right now, he says he has put new content up but will take google a few days to find it.

I wont hold my breath until he signs over ownership and hosting details

The quick answer to that he can if he has control over the domain, which I do not think he does and it is not registered to him either so if later no he cant  :-[
