I'd go no more than £200. Ebay might go to £250 tops. I'd give £50 for the pump? Email me if interested.

Those extractors are the Volkswagen Beetle of the cleaning world.

Havent changed in 20 years, and wonder why everyone is buying from other more progressive manufacturing companies.

As Arfur Dailey would say ' do you a favour son and I'll take it off your 'ands for a monkey'

VW Beetles are still in demand! ::) ::) ::) The Extracta range are rugged machine and not at all flimsy and cheap looking like certain models I've seen! At least once a week I get a customer commenting "Wow, that's some machine that is!" It's the dials I think and the fact that it gleams after a spot of car polish!

How much new would the set up cost? Maybe if you asked for a third or a even quarter of its value (new) would be about right. It would make a good hire machine and would certainly be good enough for a new starter with little cash.

Good luck, I take it you're upgrading!

Collin

Thats true about the vw :)

There is another company thats got a machine the same and has not really changed over many years ;)

As collin just said the clients love all the shiny dials on the front and the switches as they think they are getting something special :)

I would say a 5 year old machine in this condition would bring £500, i have seen some right S**T on ebay last few months bring unbelievable good money.

Mark :)

Some of the set ups on ebay also have been hammered by new starters that dont know what they are doing with the machines ie strain vac motors.

Then they sell them on again so dont forget the new vac are going to be £150 to £200 and a new pump ie 400psi nearly £500 so when they do pack up its going to cost a lot to get u up and running again ::)

Clinton,

I have mentioned this before, but I bought my back up Exel form ebay for £950, it needed a new pump and 2 new motors plus I had "Extracta" carry out a full service at £200. This was before I ever got to use it I hasten to add! It was an expensive lesson but that machine's my work horse and has paid for itself a few times over.... I would never buy a second hand machine again! Not even a TM!
