Blu Loo stains
« on: February 24, 2009, 03:19:40 pm »
Wife cleverly put a couple of Blu Loo cakes into a vase on our ensuite bathroom floor, vase had a small amount of water in it and has since been kicked over  ::), resulting in 2 larghish stains and a couple of splashes, tried usual spotter and a solvent spotter before trying a mild bleach/water mix which removed the smaller splashes but the 2 large stains remain, although lighter.
Should I try a stronger mix or is there anything else somebody has had better results with?

Oh its 80/20 wool mix oatmeal

Cheers
Paul

I think this stain will be permanent, however you may have some success with Red Rx, terry towel and Iron method.

Might be best having a look and see if you had some spare carpet left over when you had them fitted ???

I had a pub call me after their toilet leaked an the blue stained the carpets very badly.
i told the landlord i would be amazed if i could remove it completley but worth a try. i used prochem power burst and agitated with a small brush then left it for 10 minutes.. enough time for them to make me a coffee. then i extracted using fibre an fab rince.
i was aamazed that the stain came out with relative ease.
Hope that helps.
Regards
David

Thanks for the replies. Tried a stronger bleach/water mix in the end and most of it came out, only see it on close inspection now.
Now my better half has decided it might be a good idea to tile the room.
Was it actually an accident? ???

Thats not the half of it, she also wants the main bathroom tiled, new carpets throughout as there are a few worn patches and the lounge decorated which I be-grudgingly bought the paint for yesterday.  ::)

Thats my spare time for the next few weeks buggered!
