Staffing problems...
« on: February 24, 2009, 12:59:24 pm »
Our regular work has all but dissapeared sowe have had to cut our staff down to just one full time cleaner. However we are getting a lot of requests to tender for big one off cleans mostly builders ceans. How would I go about getting temporary staff suitable for the work. I live on the isle of Wight and to be honest finding local people who have the relevant training is not easy. I need people at short notice who already have the relevant health and safety qualifications and training.
it's a dirty job but someones gotta do it!

Have you tried asking all your friends and family if they know of anyone. I know it sound obvious but it has worked for me, i needed someone last minute to clean offices, i phoned everyone i knew and asked them if they knew anyone, the person i got in the end was a relative of a friend and she was really good. For end of tennancy cleans that come up at short notice, i often go myself and take my mum with me ;D.
