Turned up the other day to clean the windows of two houses opposite each other. Always start on the same house, and while I am cleaning the owner of the other house always sees my van, comes out and pays me in advance. On this occasion he approaches me as usual, pays me and says don't worry about doing the windows this time, the weather is going to change. I tried to give him his money back but he insisted I accepted because I had turned up anyway, even though I live about a mile away!

Nice customer! I had a lady once who was out so I put one of my notices through saying I had been but couldn't clean the windows because nobody was in and I couldn't get access.
Next time I went she insisted on paying twice, once for the time she wasn't in. Actually, I felt a bit guilty about that afterwards.

I never understand that mentality, its always going to rain. The same ways its always been raining at one point. Thats as much a fact, is that is will still take about a month before you start to see any notice-able dirt on the glass.... yes ok, some areas are different near busy road etc. But if I clean my own windows, then it rains 2 mins latter, they are no where near as dirty as they where before I cleaned them if dirty at all.
