Pull the switch out of the tin casing and extend the wires to another switch in a suitable vented position

You wont need to take switch off, just open up the bullet terminals, about 3 wires are push fitted together just below switch on the otside of fan housing. IIRC one goes into the ack of switch, one goes into the magneto/coil, the other goes to the low oil swich (screwed in side of aluminium caseing bwlow and to right of on/off switch).
Just fit another single wire into that bunch/joint run it to a terminal on a remote switch (any 2 terminal on/off switch will do.) Wire the other terminal on remote switch to any earth point on the engine.
When switch is open circuit the engine will run, when it's closed circuit the engine will stop or won,t start.

OR bringing a bacon butty with you should sort it!

I have my machine just inside back doors. Exhaust points outward as does starter handle. I have doors open all the time.
I also have fitted 2x flettner rotary roof vents to van

Hi DS

If no other solution then you could always keep a particle respirator to hand for when you are near to the exhaust.

Probably the long winded way of getting this sorted but should at least offer a short term fix whilst you come up with a more permanent solution.

The other option is to lower the machine from the van when in use.

Whatever you do it needs something doing straight away as you can't carry on as you are.

No cos the machine is right at the end of the van, same as being outside really

Drive Surgeon,

If your motor is a Honda they make an exhaust diverter.
They come with the unit when they are new, most people
throw them away because they don't know what they are
for. It screws right on the side of the muffler. If you notice
there is about six holes on the side of the muffler on a Honda
GX390 this is so you can aim the diverter in any direction you
wish. They diverter only cost a few dollars.
If I were you I would aim it down :o :o

Regards
Hal

my machine is fixed to the back of my van exhaust and start pull
facing rear doors open of course.  i don't have any problems either .
read somewhere somebody used flex hose (like from halfords)
to run fumes from van i think it was a bigger machine fixed by side door
with tank behind for whatever reason but the idea may work for you

   hope you sort it out

i tried some of that metal flexi tube stuff about a metre long but jesus it was lethal as it gets red hot, you can push it back into van after machine has been on unless you have heat proof gloves! :'(

its a tech clean powertech 250, it has a little metal thing which pushes the fumes to one side about 5 inches long but this is not enough as fumes hit sides off doors and come back.  its a killer.  even electric machines need a generator which is the same problem.  i think i need to buy a skid mount machine and run exhaust through the roof but i also need a bigger van for that.  oh and around 30k to buy them with  :-X :'(

pressure washing then washer hoses fsc the list goes on i dont run with both tanks full though
ive got to fit my hot box and geni in my trailer now going to have to tow again
their is a pic of trailer on my website wont be easy on some jobs
