Freedom of speech??
« on: February 22, 2009, 05:06:13 pm »
What ever happened to freedom of speech and opinion?
I thought that Forums were places where people asked questions and got honest answers in return.
I have been banned from another forum for saying that one of their products is not as good as Powerburst or Blitz at removing Blacktop from a restaurant carpet, i wouldnt even mind but the question wasnt even asked on the Forum in question.
Never mind, never really bothered with it anyway!! :-X :-X

Geoff,
I will leave the working out to you, i dont want to cause trouble. I arent even bothered about the fact that 1 forum has banned me for stating my honest opinion on another. They dont even have the decency to send you an e-mail explaing the situation even though they claim to be a Professional set up. I know i arent the first and wont be the last, my fault for having my own opinion i suppose.  ;)

Another potential customer lost then. What wrong with trying to change your mind, thought that  was the idea of forums. Especially one run by a supplier, ideal opportunity to alter your opinion with free samples or whatever.

John,
Exactly, the thing is i have been banned from another forum for a statement i made on here. I wasnt offensive to anyone, all i said is that in my opinion Powerburst or Blitz was better on Restaurant Blacktop than M Power.
Anyway never mind, i wont allow it to spoil my Christmas :'(

Us fresh out of the box C/C's appreciate your advice and sacrifice Mark. If the opposition can't handle the fact that their product isn't as good as their competitors, then like us carpet cleaners, they'd better step up to the mark and prove that they are the best.... instead of being pathetic and banning people!

I have been banned from another forum

Mark,

The cleantalk forum won't log you as having been active on there if your account is banned, and I for one know absolutely 100% for sure that you aren't banned on there.

You logged on to cleantalk at 5pm tonight.

If you were banned, under your name instead of saying "Cleantalk Member" it would say "Banned".

I'll let the other readers of this thread decide who's telling the truth by looking at the attached picture or viewing your profile and past posts (yes you told another lie, you have posted on there)

Explain your way out of this one, pinocchio ::)

Very apt Robert :)

I'm sure there will be a few of those comments and responses!  Those with their eyes open know the truth ;)

looking at the timings of that post and the start of this one I think he's just jumped to conclusions. rather that blatantly lied. he tried to log onto Cleantalk but has encountered 'difficulties', rather than look for the real reason he jumped to the conclusion that he was 'banned'.

the same has happened to me a number of times.

Ive been hinting for a Free sample of M power or Gennius for years .

I am using the Alltec ECo Clean  at present as they gave me a Free Eco Training day

  I believe its called reciprication

On the subject of being banned I think some people  use it as a badge of honour.

I am told that when a legend was alledgely  banned on here he was asked to contact Mike Boxall  to have the policy explained  and then continue to post.  More of a suspension fo two days.

Hi Guys

Having dealt with Mark I would be very surprised if he was attempting to decieve, he comes accross as a very honest guy.

There are issues with trying to log on to Cleantalk, I gave up trying months ago as it  almost always said the server was busy, athough the stats would show I had logged on.

I did mention this to Nick when he phoned me to complain about something but it didn't improve.

Cheers

Doug
