If its a fibreglass pole then i'm afraid they are all pretty much like that at 35'.
You will need to invest in a good carbon pole, these are much more user friendly at height..... however they ain't cheap.

The 39ft 6 section Universal Fibre Glass pole is quite unique. It is the cheapest way to clean high, but really should come with a Government Health warning. They are a nightmare to use and could result in serious personal injury. It is the only pole that I have come close to losing control of whilst working. The flex because of the weight is something to behold.

If you are going to be doing lots of work like this you need to get a much lighter pole an SL2 for 30ft and above and either a SL-X or a Facelift pole for anything lower and as had already been said these poles cost much more than the glass fibre but are worth it as they will save you time and more importantly save your arms muscles and joints
I started of with a 30ft universal pole and it was a monster i was in luxury when i got the Facelift pole
