custom tank
« on: February 19, 2009, 09:03:30 pm »
anyone had one made for them ? thinking of getting one made up for my peugeot expert to maximise space and usefulness of my vehicle for summer breaks and camping as I only have the one vehicle.
Would be interested in seeing some pics if anyone has, just to give me a few ideas
Cheers

I think Alex G does these sorts of tanks, so maybe a good idea giving him a bell.

Thanks mate, sweet, just what I was on about  ;)
is that your van ? do you have the pump bolted to the tank and do they put threaded inserts into the plastic in order to do this ? I have an idea for a removable swivelling hose reel that I would want bolted on top of the tank but removable so if I choose to go away for a weekend and sleep in the van i could.

ouch ! £800 ! I was hoping to be able to get a 500 ltr made up for about the £450 region
I may have to look into this a bit more.

£450 sounds about right for a 500 litre.  Up until recently I had a 380 litre custom made tank with matching twin reel drip tray (two of these) and it cost under £400 for the lot.
