If you are working with a short pole on downstairs work (modular type) it would be useful - but no more useful than folding the hose over IMO.

If you read the advert it states it can be fitted anywhere on the hose so only a moron would fit it by the brush.

I use Gardiner's flow valve's on all my poll's. I put the tap there on my 4ft poll and is very very useful.

i have my tap there and its quicker and easier ands drier than having a trigger or a waist attached valve with loads of spare hose trailing.

i turn on at a job and only turn off when ive finished a house i dont use that much more water and i only have the feed hose going up the pole.
i find its quicker and easier compared to the other methods and i have tried them all

Try B&Q, Homebase or any aquatic centre where you can buy these for £5 or less and place it a few feet away from the bottom of the pole.

we use simliar taps on all our poles up by the brush head - much better than triggers, easier to use, get to corner of house and let go of reel hose, trigger you have to bring it all with you.

don't use any more water than a trigger and less cumbersome.

much better - in my opinion.

That's a stupid place to put it, How would you be able to extend the pole with it that close, and if you placed it right at the bottom of the hose near the connector it would drag on the floor when you walk to each window,remember its only made from plastic.

guys dont knock it - I have been using them like this for a while . I wouldnt have the tap anywhere else now , no more bending down to turn off water or getting snagged on brick work etc etc . One more little thing to make our life easy.



true if you do all very high work then maybe just stick to one at the bottom or just plug in the hose tail into the microbore to turn on .

I use the better ones with a nice leaver that turns easy.

Higher than that have one at bottom!
or as someone already said have one at each end!

I can't be bothered to change at the moment, but who knows in the future!

i keep my tap there and have done since i started wfp ,at the other end of pole it trails the ground and doesnt last long triggers although ive never tried them stay in the same place or roughly the same place which i dont think i would like as when i clean windows over conservatorys or any window horizontaly i put the pole up full then grip it by the middle section to balance the weight which i find easier on the body. i wouldnt have a tap anywhere else

max pressure on these is 8.5 Bar and they ok to a temp of 50'c so ok for the hot WPF guys .
They have a long leaver which is easy to flip even with gloves on and has a nice smooth ball valve in them.

When you use the valve on the pole near the brush, all you do is get your mate to go to the 3rd or 4th storey window, and tell him to switch it off by hanging out the window, then go to the next window, where he will have to follow and do the same!!

Chocolate ashtray springs to my mind.
