It does bring in work, but don't pay for it, a free listing brings in the same amount of work as a paid ad, the reason is when someone is looking or a window cleaner, they type in their postcode, and up pops all the cleaners in that area, the customer them phones the nearest to their house.

The trouble with Yellow Pages and all these sort of directories is that they cover too wide an area for the average window cleaner. I for example will not go more than three mile radius of my home. I have had my fingers burned with travelling too far in the past.

Yell.com is fine, but go for the free listing, Iuse to pay nearly £900 for a good ad in the book, yell com listing and link to my website.
Bit by bit I have cut all of them down, the link to my website will go this year.

Waste of money, free is good
