What happened to Waterless
« on: March 24, 2005, 02:15:30 am »
Dont want to start a major surge in product endorsement. But with Spring coming on its time to clean my wifes car.
I remember last year the site was full of people singing the praises if this product.

Unless you are going to send me some free samples do not try to sell me any product as I like getting my troucers wet and playing with hose pipes and things.

But Waterless System was going to make you rich

So did it?

hi there,

i take my L200 to the local hand car wash place, inside and out £15, and believe me i have it done at least once a month, and any one who works on site, knows how vehicles get inside and out, and the last thing that i want to do is clean my own vehicle.

the boys on the road are less fortunate they have to make sure that the vans are clean.

regards

martin

I like to give my brand new Rolls Royce the personal touch, so I get the wife to do it. However she will slack off some times and I have to make sure she rinses it properly in the sink!

Waterless, I would love to know where I can get those rose coloured glasses from too. Although this could be the year with the threatened hose pipe ban. Its that "Save the Planet" season again boys and girls (start counting those pennies) just remember " Sincerity SELLS  :D"

Martin glad to see you got your priorities right, nothing worse than to have to wash your own car that would be like "Normal" cant be doing with that, what would people think!!!  ;D

hi there,

DP, i keep threatening to get a cleaner in to clean my house on a regular basis, i just hate doing it,  no problem on site getting my hands dirty, and also cleaning a white vehicle does seemso pointless sometimes,

i must say though the place i take it to does a fantastic job on it.

Never heard of this waterless system?!

What is it? or is it as obviuos as it sounds?

Regarding our vans.....I get the staff to clean them while i have a cup of coffee in the office and write on sites like this (they think i am a very busy Manager and too busy to clean the vans? I think that is called the art of delegation....)
Then i check the vans afterwards.

Timbob

Waterless is the business of cleaning vehicles (and anything else) without the use of water for cleaning as we know it (or with the use of chemicals and super products) this is a very crude description but the rest is boring.

There are many systems with "Waterless" as a product being just one of them. Nothing really wrong with the idea or the service, in fact I understand that it works very well.

However users tend to fall into 2 camps, those who just use the products in the course of their cleaning services and get on with it, and those who are sent out into the world as a product of the great American machine (or at least its Anglo Saxon branch) the gullible British.

You get the idea - the rest would just be my humble opinion   ;)

Hi

someone mention my name...?

We tried waterless car valeting down here in Brighton, people who tried our service loved it and were amazed at the results, we were doing DB7's, bentleys etc etc.

But...

I think the location we tried was the wrong one (in hindsight) we were in the only shopping centre in Brighton where people get very stressed trying to find what is limited space. Sadly we closed.

I can highly recommend the products, they really do give an amazing finish on your vehicles. Get a sample pack from gary at waterless.

As a side note the waterless concept is very successful in France with over 40 centres.

the above is in my own opinion

What a shame Brighton wasn’t in France (almost though)!

Never mind "Onwards and Upwards"

Or as Gary (Mr Waterless) would say with his breathtaking skills of business acumen
"We wont cry for you then".  ;)

P.S.
I take it your recommendation for this product is meant for those living outside Brighton.

Hi Martin,

Sorry the site did not work out, Was there not a better site available in Brighton. As the origional idea from the Business plan I saw was for multiple site operation.

Hope you covered your investment and time.

I'm also based in Brighton and use a Waterless Product - However the product we use is British made, not by Uncle Sam... Its pretty new as well.

I do however, on our top Valets wash and polish the car "the old fashioned way"  or at a customers request...

As a mobile service sometimes I just find it easier when there are a row after row of parked cars (if you've been to Brighton you'll understand this)or in a car park - trail hoses for presure washers, remove the waste water etc - oh and I don't have to move the car to prevent others getting sprayed with water etc

Regards

Phil

Ps if any one is interested in the product my email should be available to the left :)

Hi Guys

i can understand your negitivity as regards to waterless but best try it first and then comment after.

It may of worked else where, who knows?

I don't post much here any more as business has gone in a completely different direction and I should be hanging up my dusters and carpet equipment shortly and retiring from work altogether...

Look out for the post ''Retired''

Coming shortly to a forum near you.

Kind regards
