ive got alltec aqua heater not working checked fuse any ideas nolight on rocker switch .

Wire could be loose?
Element could have gone?
Switch could be done for?

Need someone with elecric knowledge and apparatus.

If the fuse you checked is the plug fuse & that is ok it may be the inline supplementary fuse inside the cabinet just sat at the back of the switchboard. It may also be a loose connection or a broken wire in the cable, the favourite spot is where the cable enters the machine. The element may be perforated causing a short, this can happen quite quickly depending on the cleaning solution used. Some are really aggressive to chrome. This would usually take the earth trip out as well. The best way of tracking the fault is to use a multimeter set at ohms resistance with the machine unplugged. Starting with the plug and working along the wiring system.

It took me 1 1/2 hours to fathom one out the other day.
