Some firms want to see them beforehand, some ask for them but never bother to actually look at them but I always keep a generic copy in the van.

Risk Assessments/Coshh/Health & Safety Policy Statement/Method Statements and a copy of your P/L & E/L Insurance should be kept on site in order to comply with the law.
