Just want to thank joe and dave for this afternoon

Had the pleasure to see not one but three top set ups today.

We Cleaned some carpets this afternoon with joes  scorpion and t mount and dave powers prowler.

Must say for the guys buying the scorpion its a top machine for a portie

The power from the t mount and prowler is awsome mind you.

Yes it was a good afternoon.
Glad you liked the Scorpion and the heat produced 

I was interested in seeing how the 13hp Prowler compared to my bigger 18hp TM.
Now I know we were only on a short hose length of about 40' but no difference really.

No probs Clinton, would have been good to test a longer run but the power is still the same at 100 ft

IMO i really think you should try a TM at a longer distance of working than 100ft
i dont know what length the prowler can work at and the same with Joes TM??

Buying a TM is one hell of an investment and it has to be the right one.
I find my 318 great and so much of a step up from a porty, i can easily work upto 200ft and cant see any drop in power, have been told that it can do up to 300ft easily.

I am already thinking of a bigger TM.

It all depends on what type of work you mainly do, if you only do small runs then a small TM will do.
You dont need a sledge hammer to crack a egg

There seems a lot of guys on here who have TM`s ask to try different ones

The way things are at the moment with exchange rates and the lack of confidence in the market, second hand TM setups seem a much better bet in my view.

Especially if you need a bigger van, selling a van with a TM makes the price even cheaper.

I have always understood the Prowler can be used up to 300' and my TM is the same.

I mostly do domestics so am pleased to be able to use 150' at the max - and thats been only once, most jobs is my old 40' piece to get me to the front door and then 50' max in the house.

used 150 foot twice now, pub (golf club) and a farmhouse, no noticable loss in heat or suction, think mine will run 400 with not much loss but i don't really wanna find out, thats a lotta walking that is.

ISS use a Prowler to clean trains and when demoing we hooked it up to 400' of vac hose which was laid out straight between the tracks and used with their Prochem Everest. Still worked pretty good.

Just think of the cot of all that hose - 400' of solution and 400' of suction.

Certainly need more then one big job every blue moon to justify that.

But just goes to show how good these machines are.

The only problem is, and im contradicting myself, when you use a TM and you see how much better it is, if you get a smaller one you then start thinking what you can do with a bigger one.

eg one of my regular customers, a Lord & Lady, have just inherited the family castle, today i was only on the first floor and i had to use 200`, looks like i have to buy an extra 100` before my next visit

At the end of the day you have to buy a machine to fit YOUR business, not anyone else`s
But if you can get a bigger one at the right price, IMO thats the one to go for.
