Does the Stanley paint pad handle screw straight onto a plastic angle adaptor?

I've never used the stanley one Mike, I use a different type commonly known on here as the MKII swivel, which fits streight on to your existing angle adaptor & standard brush thread. I couldn't work without it now, it makes life so much easier in many ways.

If you are interested in these I will give you the info.

I'm interested in the 'Stanley' because I've seen a picture of one on here some time ago and it had a proper 'hinge' and looked very sturdy.

Do you "pin" the ball to make it stronger? Also put vaseline on the ball, this makes it work a lot smoother.

Find it hard to drill them just right for the pin though.

That's why I like the MKII, it doesn't flap, rather you controll the movement. with the MKI it was too loose, meaning flapping action when not on the glass.

No, but if you tie a piece of pole hose round it very tight it will go black- the next best thing!

I did a posting on this a while back, here it is.
On first examination, the Stanley handle swivels up and down, so would be useless, but look again and you will see a little Phillips screw, remove this and the handle will turn round, turn it 90 degrees and drill a small hole and reinsert the screw. depending on what brush you are using, you will have to cut the pad holder to fit, cut off the part of the brush that the handle screws into, and attach the pad holder with small bolts or self tappers.
You are left with a brush with a swivel that can be locked in any position, and the angle is just right for most jobs.
It also fits perfectly on the Harris pole.
