Changing frequeny of cleans
« on: January 30, 2009, 09:06:22 pm »
My little girl has started school and i now have 2 extra days a week to work as i used to have her on mondays and fridays, im finding im getting round my work really quick as i have more time so planning to change from every 6 weeks to 5

Have any of you done this? Would you let them know or just start doing it.

Now is not the time to increase frequency IMO but ...

If you have been on exactly 6 weeks then may be go in at 5 and a half weeks so they don't notice.

And canvass.
It's a game of three halves!

4 wks is best....go canvassing and alll new ones do at 4 weeks... the only problem is the others will be at different intervals. ::)

could always say to them, that we now clean on 4 weekly basis, if this is to soon for you you can also have a 8 weekly clean at £...

you may lose a few to 8 weekly but increase the price a little.

You’re the boss, some are under the illusion there customers are the boss.
I do agree with you, but I am guessing Matt is looking for some reasurance, he could take that hard line approuch but I think it would kick you him the bum, better to know yourself that you are the boss than trying to force people into looking up/down at you for being the boss. giving options works far better imo

4 weeks is to much,if you lose work that`ll be the reason. You will lose a lot more work at the moment if your  weekly 4 weeks comes round in a flash.

Just do extra canvassing to get more jobs to fill in those extra days - keep it all at 6 weeks if thats what you do already.

Or ask your customers on their thoughts about changing your schedule. Personally id be peed if i agreed to a 6 week and then found out my wc had changed it to 5 weeks without asking. In fact he'd be dumped..

But then again my window cleaner is every 4 weeks - sometimes less if they have new equipment to play with and try out.. my window cleaner is me :P
