It won`t last,as soon as the frames and sills start to get dirty and the spiders start nesting in the corners they`ll be begging you to come back, then it`s "price rise time"  ;D  ;)

as i understand it, self cleaning glass is brilliant.
IF
you live in forida and have brill sunshine most of the year and rain that comes in horizontal every couple of months.
if you don't meet these criteria?
not so great ::)
it's amazing the thousands people will spend to save a few £ a month

It only works under ideal conditions - when it works the crud goes on the cills as usual. They'll be back when the husband admits he was wrong to fall for it. (Usually about five months when as mentioned above the spideys and crud make the missus tell him to get the w/c back!)

In fact if you want to keep an open door/and make a point to them I'd put a note in as follows:-

Dear Mrs Gullible,

Thank you for informing me about your new "self-cleaning" glass. You must be very pleased with your new windows - they always look good when new don't they?

I believe this glass works well in shopping malls roofs etc and that it can reduce the frequency of cleaning where a lower standard of cleanliness is often acceptable.

I have found that in domestic situations that the build up of dirt and spiders nests in the corners and on the frames and cills can still present a property in a less than flattering way and that even the glass itself needs ideal conditions for it to work properly.

If in the future you require my services please do not feel embarrassed to ask me.

Yours sincerely,

Self cleaning glass does work.

All it requires is that fairly heavy rain should fall on the whole window at least once a month.

And the chances of that are nil. ;D ;D ;D ;D

The stuff is a con if you ask me. How hard can bird poo be to remove if left to bake in the sun? I doubt the rain we had here during the floods in Tewkesbury would of got it off let alone normal rain.

And thats the time to tell them that their glass will require specialist cleaning and it will now cost them 3 times as much per clean ;)

Yeh..... cos like I say its a gimmick, Ive cleaned glass after after it has apparently been applied... when the customer has asked for them to be cleaned.

It would probobly work better in somewhere like Scotland because it rains a lot and birds mess wouldn`t have enough time to go rock hard.
