hi i lost my 1st house today due to self cleaning glass being installed,just wanted your opinions on it?
It only works under ideal conditions - when it works the crud goes on the cills as usual. They'll be back when the husband admits he was wrong to fall for it. (Usually about five months when as mentioned above the spideys and crud make the missus tell him to get the w/c back!)
In fact if you want to keep an open door/and make a point to them I'd put a note in as follows:-
Dear Mrs Gullible,
Thank you for informing me about your new "self-cleaning" glass. You must be very pleased with your new windows - they always look good when new don't they?
I believe this glass works well in shopping malls roofs etc and that it can reduce the frequency of cleaning where a lower standard of cleanliness is often acceptable.
I have found that in domestic situations that the build up of dirt and spiders nests in the corners and on the frames and cills can still present a property in a less than flattering way and that even the glass itself needs ideal conditions for it to work properly.
If in the future you require my services please do not feel embarrassed to ask me.
