I know that the Scorpian is supposed to be a good machine but how do you cope when the scorpian has NO heat but you have all the heat with the TM.
Do you use the same chems or different, or just different methods

I think what Richie says is definitely the case.

TM seem scary things that are complicated and you can easily bvgger up. Yet everyone who takes the leap of fate seems to wish they had done it years ago once the have been using it a few weeks.

Some 17 years ago or so, when I started cc as a subsidery to general cleaning I had a Numatic and to get good results I had to work very hard. Didnt know anything about the cleaning pie chart - just knew I had to work - and of course then it was detergents all the way.

When the Scorpion was my main machine a lot of the time I used the customers hot water which gradually gets colder.  I do have a efficient inline heater which I do use - like this Monday when a pipe had burst on the TM so was out of action for the day.

However, as you know TM generate high heat - mine up to about 190degree (I think is correct).
This adds to the efficiency of the job in hand.

So comparing today with 17 years ago, I get a better job with less effort from me. And that is the same when comparing with the Scorpion - I can get a very good result with the Scorpion but with the TM it is easier.

As for cleaning fluids - I use the same. But I do think cleaning fluids have made big improvements generally in the last few years and no  doubt will continue to do so - all for the ultimate benefit to the customer who pays the wage, and to us with easier task.

Like you, I too was very wary, even worried, about using 2" hoses, and this is with a porty!

What I have found is that the Cornish Pixie sells an excellent more flexible 2" hose. I keep a 50ft length of this for running to the wand and more traditional hose for running from the van.

I find this hose soooooo much easier that I no longer use a whip except for my hand and upholstery tools.

In the same boat Stu HM orange very strong but stiff.

As Ken suggests buy 50ft of Solution blue 2"  great stuff for in the house, extremely flexible.

 i was only asking as some, no a lot, use only cold water
when they use certain products and i didn`t know if you were one of them.

I used cold water once to see if it produced as others said it did.

and on another occasion I turned up at a pub where I always used there hot water but for some reason there was none that day(must have forgot to put shilling in the meter).

I do prefer to use hot tap water, although it has been said by the time it hits the carpet it has lost most of its heat.

Solution hose becomes very flexble when hot apart from Woodbridge Commercials that was wire inside.

Suprised Spencer let it go as he used to use Speedsters before going TM'd.

Before the Scorpion I had the CFR Perfect Heat 500
and before that the Texatherm
so I had progressed in stages.
