Would warm water be harmful to an r/o.

I have read somewhere that it's not advisable to use warm water - probably ruins the membrane.

In the summer the water you use is almost warm even from the tap in some cases.

I tried filling my tank with hot through DI and it was ok ish, but through a RO i wouldve have thought it wouldnt be hot other end.

L5 is the way forward mate, ive got a Morco one and its great

Membranes don't like it above 35. I dissolved the glue in mine @ 38! Wouldn't recommend it above 25.

There are certain things i wouldn't play around with.....

1/ Electricity, you can't see it coming until its too late.

2/ DIY plumbing, you can see it coming but its still too late.

3/ Gas, The first you know that something isn't quite right is when your arms,  legs and head become detached from the torso.

Sure i'd like a hot system, but i don't think DIY is the way forward..... the way upward maybe..... with the a gas bottle for company.

I dont think we'd look at selling them but im more than happy to say they do EXACTLY the same job as more expensive systems such as varitechs and ionics hot system for a lot LOT less money.

Whats gonna blow? Do they just blow up?? Do motorhomes systems just blow?

Im only a sales rep and i didnt want the outlay that others have spent on system at end of day, but like my system in the van i did it very cheap yet it looks pro and does exactly the same job.

Dont know why so many people have a problem with gas systems. Must be because we've just saved about 2 grand...yeh that must be it for exactly the same output

let me explain the history about the L5

NWH got 1 of them ( and a spare ) and used it for a while, he then spoke to a man down the pub , fireman and gas fitter, he then decided they were unsafe, so went out and spent 2 or 3 K on a hot water system
he seems to be backed up sometimes by a guy called ewan, who has no experience of knowledge about them, but just likes to post negative posts all the time

now on the other hand, we have a a fair number who use them every day for window cleaning, not to mention they are used in R.V ( campervans ) in the USA, boats and hunting cabins

we also have on here a guy called David Slater, he is into his H&S and used the L5 in his van setup, which looked very good and he was happy with the safety side of it

so we have 1 guy who doesnt like them and a troll who is a very negative person at the best of times in 1 camp and the other camp which seems to be made up for very happy people who like the heater, not to mention the heater ( and heaters like it ) is used worldwide by various users

I'd like to point out David Slater had gone to necessary lengths to back up his installation to ensure it was safe, with CO detectors etc.. and got insurance for it.. Most if not all other L5 users would have not gone to such lengths, so i dont believe saying "David Slater is using it so it cant be that bad" a good way to discuss any issue with it.

Oh by the way concept02 also use LPG for their hot systems.. yet i dont see them being brought into any discussion on the subject as they are a WFP system supplier.

Thanks all, the reason I was asking about the r/o is that I was thinking about leaving a couple of coils of hose up on the roof of the shed and in the summer the water would probably heat up quite a bit given that it wouldn't be flowing that fast. But when you think about it, it makes a lot more sense to do it after the r/o. If I could heat up the water I could then transfer it in the evening to my van tank which I intend to insulate. That way I could probably use the gas at the lowest setting and have tons of hot water.

Even if the owners of boats and hunting cabins did diy there own L5, they probably use them for there intended purpose.
