I need a new battery in my TDS Meter thought i had a packet of them but cant find them and stupidly i have thrown the old one out and i cant remember what type batteries goes into them can anyone help its a large round flat cell battery if that helps as there are probably different types in all the TDS Meters

Take your TDS meter into your local watch repair place.

You will pay about £4.00 per battery (there are cheaper ones that wont last as long) and get them to put them in.

 My local watch repair people told me that even the moisture from your finger prints getting onto the battery can cause them to discharge quickly and lose their life span.

That was a tip a was told about years ago by a friend he said you lose most of the charge by handling them so use thin cardboard when fitting them something similar when handling halogen bulbs

Your mate is spot on, when I was a chep we had to change the bulbs using tissue and our fingers couldnt touch the clear part as they blow quite soon if not straight away.

yeah, i used to work in a night club cleaning the lightscans and lasers. had to use tissue or gloves, if you accidentally touched it, out come the alcohol solution to clean it.. some of the bulbs wer hundreds £££ !

I had my first TDS meter with original battery for 7 years and it only packed up when I left it out in the rain for a few days. I only use it occasionally though.
