Firstly, id like to say, i hope the pic i think iv posted has come up so you know what im on about 
These squeegees are not really what i was aiming to get and i know there are better out there however i just dont have the cash to get exactly what i want at the moment. (children seem to drain us of every penny).
Will these suffice until im in a better position to get what i want? or are these totallt crud?

Thanks, yes iv looked on the site, and iv seen what i want to get from there, but still works out abit above budget for now getting all the different sizes i want.
I know price = quality etc.
but i just want something to make do for now.
To change the rubbers or channel i just unscrew the thingys dont i? there shouldnt be no clips in these should there?

go for the unger ergotec handles

and ettore or pulex soft rubbers, you wont go far wrong

how do i decide on hard or soft rubbers?

Hard rubbers last longer as they wear better. Sort rubbers are easier to use - glide over glass more smoothly - but wear quicker and pick up nicks more easily.

The set of squeegees i posted up r ok to use for the time being then, til i can get the ones i really want?

Go to window cleaning centre, get 2 handles and 3 or 4 channels, you can change when needed, for around the same price.

ettore soft is the only rubber worth using.  Buying cheap crap rubber is the biggest false economy going, it will take longer to wipe off the detailing and you will get less work done in a day as a result.  Ettore soft cost about 1.20 each and you should replace them once per week.

You won't regret this!

This is what im gonna do.
I wouldnt compromise and buy cheap rubbers.
im sure my technique needs as much help along the way as possile

Those squeegees where just a example, id personal get the pulex channls and handle but definatly get some ettore rubbers as they are probs the best.

Soft rubbers everytime for me,  hard rubbers are no good unless your working in hot temperatures all the time.

doesn't matter what they look like; if they suit your pocket they are the best ones. you can be a good window cleaner without spending a load of money; (it will just take a little more time). are they for your home or for work? imo best for comfort is a large unger ergotec handle and channel. if it's domestic you may be best with a 14" and a 18" channel.

squeegee doesn't really matter, its good rubbers that count. had great results with a vileda squeegee out of b&q with a decent rubber
