I just had my quote in, utterly ridiculous, £190+ on top because I've got "water tank fitted" as a modification. So instead of £380, it's over £570.

I need another company and fast, any recommendations that are cheaper with a water tank fitted?

commercial veichle dirct I use for one of the vans and that was about £500 ish, halfd the people on here think that a tank in vanm is corgo (trust me they are kidding themselves if they have a bang or worse.

I'm 24, 25 in May, 3 years NCD, no convictions, points etc either.

So everyone is paying a lot more with a water tank fitted then?

I spoke to my broker about this. They said it wouldnt cost anymore so long as the system was fitted profesionally.

My tank is strapped in & the van has NO modifications. Mine is 210 quid, 36 with full no claims, fully comp' includes no claim protection, legal cover & got it 0% instalments!

most companies dont touch under 25 for commercial or there premiums are extremly high, put it one way im nearly 30 with 3 years and 3 points and mine is the same

That's third party fire and theft, I know it's reasonably cheap, but still a lot of money for me.

I spoke direct with quite a few insurance compnaies directly, and many of them will not quote if you ask if this includes the fitted water tank in the back.

just saying your a window cleaner is going to be a problem should you hit or be hit.

A-Plans the one to go for they insure the van and the waterfed inside which covers you for 30,000 i think i pay about £39.00 a month for 10 months Ive got full no claims though. They only cover for poles that are stolen from van not if they get stolen outside of van hope this helps from the good looking window cleaner lol & theres noot many of us good looking ones ha! ha!

Just to agree with other comments, definitely go with A-Plan at Carterton, Tel: 01933 841841 and speak with Lucy. (I don't work for them!) She knows what she is talking about and is very helpful. I've just renewed mine and thought I'd phone round (to keep A-Plan keen) and got various knock backs from other brokers , even ones using the current underwriter(A-Plan have specials deals apparently). They use Equity Red Star but I don't think they insure under 25's, so it may be Royal Sun Alliance they use, more expensive but you are still fully covered.

I think one of my vans is equity red star, and the other I know is commercial veichle direct as I just changed it, and there quote was fine for what I wanted.
