Hi Doug Thanks for the resin delivered today..

Just a quick (stupid??) question ..on another thread you said about half filling the DI vessel with resin, then when TDS goes up, add more new resin to bring TDS down.

Would this also work if i add the new  to my old resin if i emptied some out?

Thanks Dave

Hi Dave,

Firstly apologise resin should have been delivered earlier so will be having words with the courier.

In my experience sometimes it does go down to 000 but sometimes it goes to 001 but stays there for a long time. I've did this some time back and it sat at 001 for a long time by adding around 2litres.

But I would not do it if your resin has already reached 004+

Cheers

Doug

Thanks Doug I think ill experiment with 2 litres and see how it goes ( my TDS is on 003 at the moment)

Just a note when i got the resin the package was in a right state! Not a moan , just so you know!

I havent opened the box yet but the plastic bag looks ok

Cheers Dave

Just give the vessel a good shake, this will bring it back down to 000.
I always fill my DI's to the shoulder of the vessel (approx 3/4 full).
Are you DI only? twin or single?
