End Of Tenancy Clean
« on: January 23, 2009, 12:25:28 pm »
Hi I wonder if someone could give me some advise regarding an end of tenancy clean I have been asked to do.

It's a two bedroom flat with 1 bathroom etc,.

The oven doesn't need cleaning and carpets are newly laid, windows need cleaning in and out.

I was considering charging £150 is this reasonable.

I previously have done a 1 bedroom flat for the same company but the oven was in a terrible condition and I charged £125.00

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. ;D

work out how long you think the job will take you.  Work out the cost of your materials.  if YOU are happy with the price then go for it.  No ovenclean and no carpets, providing the rest of the place isnt too bad then IMO I think it is a good price. I never price without looking over the property.  Are the windows easy access?  do you use wfp?  or just trad?

Hi all

I'd appreciate some guidance too.

We're just about to finish an eot clean for a local letting agent and its our first one for them.  We're finishing off tomorrow but I think its going to come out at around 18 hours for kitchen. utility room, lounge, office, 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom over 4 floors including all windows inside.

No oven to clean but the fridge was the usual mildewed mess and the kitchen was incredibly greasy - we've spent 4 hours on the kitchen and the utility room and haven't even done the floor yet which I'm expecting to take 2 hours to steam clean including behind all appliances.  The bathroom was also completely mouldy and we've removed all of that as well as a thorough clean which has taken 2.5 hours.  So is 18 hours reasonable?  Do you think we have taken too long over it?  Advice appreciated as I don't want to overprice in case they don't use us again but equally I need to make a profit.

I usually quote before doing a job but this one was a bit of a rush and we'd been recommended so I just told them our hourly rate and picked up the keys.  Incidentally, I'd have probably quoted around 16 hours with a 10% contingency added on so I wouldn't have been far off but if I'd quoted I'd know they were happy with the price lol

Cheers

Diane

Hi TVCS

Thanks for your reply, windows are easy access, will use wfp and traditional inside. My son will do the windows as he is a window cleaner and I will pay him accordingly. Wll be viewing the propert on Tuesday, giving the price and cleaning straight away.
