IDEAL CUSTOMERS
« on: January 16, 2009, 07:45:48 pm »
in the current financial climate our ideal customers are semi retired , retired, or those with no mortgage kids gone , but they still work.... or those who get a good sickness/ invalid payments, you get the gist of the type....

well i have had a canvasser knock doors for me in the daytime only..... now.. we all know the best time to doorknock is between 4.30 and 7.30.... however he is still managing to pick up a few, although not as meveningany as he would find late afternoon/ early evening...

THE RESULT most are in at the time of clean :) AND THEY MEET THE DESCRIPTION OF THE IDEAL CUSTOMER AS MENTIONED ABOVE... ;D

THE NEGATIVES....as they are nearly always in  you cant be too quick, and may moan when its raining, as i ALWAYS work in most bad weather ::)

The negatives make me laugh. The you can't be too quick is so true. That is the most popular comment i get now. Normally followed by can i wipe the sills dry or something about money......  :)

I think I've just picked up the ideal custy today ...

I was working in a South Gloucestershire village and this well preserved lady about 60 comes up and asks me to quote for hers just up the lane. She gives a brief description and tells me they're Georgian sash - and when I asked - just refurbished and painted six months ago but not cleaned since.

I pop along and basically it's nice square Georgian house - (think Doctor's house or Vicarage sort of size) 8 large georgian windows, 5 smaller windows, 2 door panels and a garage converted into a studio with 2 windows. I say £25 every two months. (I know I should have charged for a first clean, but hey ...) She agrees.

She says can you vary the pressure on your system as that one there - points to one of the windows is a bit leaky. I explain I can and off I go.

Being a first clean I take my time and all done in forty minutes. In the meantime she offers me a cuppa and brings out a mug of tea with four really luxurious chocolate biscuits (almost the size of cakes!) - bliss.

Hubby saunters out and says "Do you do Avonmouth? Cuz I'm the MD of a small company on the docks and we need a window cleaner - call XXX next Tuesday and tell him I sent you ..."

It's a game of three halves!

In mid 20s....drop dead gorgeous....walks around in a see-through negligee and is up for a bit of rough before the old man gets home....

.....and then gives a £10 tip for the "extras"....

....and wants 'em done weekly... ;D
£10 thats not a lot for two hours work, I'd want the price of the house + £60... a man's got to eat! ;D
Which brings me to another point, biscuits, never say no to a biscuit!  8)
