Hi Dave
Cheers for that mate, i know your right, i was thinking the same today when up the ladders that were up against an extension and having to stretch a bit to clean the window (im not to good with heights lol). I suppose if i invest in wfp now it will make me get my finger out to get the work in (god i hate door knocking lol).

Nope wrong order. Get the work in B4 you go WFP. Then expand the work load.
IMO learn the basics of Trad then switch or mix the two methods.
Otherwise you could spen loads setting up with little work to do, get a bit demoralised and E-Bay your system.

same as stan 3m double does 99% of work and i have 4m double for anything else and a pair of steps. and to be honest the 4m is over kill but needed it till i got wfp now i use both methods

I would get a 3mtr double or a 3.5 mtr pointer.

My preferance is the second but i have both and they are both usefull

Our standard ladder gear on a van is

Ramsey 2m Pointer - excellent ladders for ground work
Titan 3.4m - most normal houses, light enough
Titan 3.9m - only used on a few jobs now, normally WFP these.

WFP Poles
3ft - ground work and commercial shop windows
12ft - does a lot of first floor work
25ft - First and second floors
36ft - Town houses and commercial

Also have
Titan 4.5m for higher work, though very rarely used now, mainly for high gutter cleaning

56ft WFP used every friday for commercial work
