hi guys, im sure someone has mentioned it before but does anybody know when prochem are going to start selling ms. I am now using ms for nearly all my jobs and nick at solutions does an excellent product. The only thing i dont like is the cost. Not that solutions are more expensive than anybody else just that there is only two suppliers that i know of. Hopefully when prochem start selling it will lower the cost.

I'm confused  Shaun.

 Microsplitters are not expensive. Even if you use the most expensive brand out there. You're typically working at about 1:16 You are spraying down less product than with most detergent based products. You don't have to purchase a detergent rinse agent. You rarely use an acidic rinse. You don't have money wrapped up in stocks of lots of different products.  Are you saying that your Microsplitters are giving you excellent results but you want to pay less money than you would for an inferior product    What do you want from your supplier? Jam on it?

And as Nick quite rightly pointed out, his products can be almost half the price of some others

Even if the overall cost in use was much higher, I would still use them.

Work to a standard, not a price.

i have to agree with Ken there, i earnt a small fortune from my sample bottle,

What makes you think Prochem would be cheaper?
All their other chemicals are incredibly dear, and no better than other makes.

hi nick i know for sure that you are a lot cheaper than one-step and like i said an excellent product which i am happy with. Even if prochem do enter the ms market it would have to be a considerable saving for me to switch, but hey competition is good for the consumer, in this case cc's.

Ken, Mark please dont tell me im using it wrong i just dont think i could take it,  look my chemical cost has jumped 100% with ms thats a big jump no matter how much your using, not that i use a lot but im still double.

an example of this is: 4x5l solutions is £72 including vat and delivery, 1:13
4x5l prochem extraction pro £32 including vat local pick up 1:10

obviously the fact that im prepared to pay double speaks for ityself and a tribute to the product that nick sells and the service provided.

Just to add to this string...

Being a cc trained by Prochem and who has a shelf of Prochem products, I also use M/S for a majority of my work.

I haven't used the Extraction Pro so have looked into it, and as I thought, you should still use a pre-spray!  This will increase your costs of detergents.  Whether this will make detergents more or less than detergents, I don't know.

Of course there is the issue of re-soiling as Extaction Pro is pH 8.5, not acidic.... but I guess others have voiced loud enough, other than to say I also work to a standard.

MS are designed to be used as a prespray then you agitate. You then rinse with water only. Prochem Extraction Pro goes in the machine's solution tank, but you still need to pre-spray most carpets to get the desired result. When using Extraction Pro do you also prespray with it at 1:10?

There is another supplier World of Clean, last time I looked you could buy £30 worth carriage paid.

How much is Solutions carriage charge these days as I thought it was a bit high compared with others  suppliers.

Solution actually offer Free Delivery we don not hide any delivery charge in the chemical cost, you do however have to spend a reasonable amount to get free delivery, apart from the fact that the chemical is around half the price of any other comparible micro splitter.

i dont see what all the fuss about delivery charges is about, i dont, and my customers, dont mind paying for good service, i allways get next day delivery,no matter what i order, and i accept that a small order, will incur a delivery charge, as c/c dont we all have a min charge??
