I know what you mean Stu, I get like that around Bacton & Mundesley way. They always look at you funny as if they've never seen a van before. Or maybe it's just me  :o

I dont know I take a day off and you have carved it up.

I do North West Norfolk.

To the boarder of Lincs , Wisbech  Littleport?  Up A47 To Swaffham  and then across to coat.

Problem as I see it is Part of  two Yellow Page areas.

Matt You have made a very important point. Althgough Norwich and surrounding Areas has a large population there will be a problem in how leads are Generated and passed on.

Not sure if we would have Central Answering Service? To be blunt I would have reservations about this based on experience.

Or Perhaps a series of O800 Numbers O800 6666 Norwich 0800777 Norwich
08007777 Swaffham where you get your washin done for nothin. Yarmouth08002222
hev yurgot a lite boy etc

We could use a telephone answering service, they answer as if they work in your office.
Once a call is taken an email and txt with call details etc are sent to the area manager, It costs around £70 a month. This info could then speedily be dealt with and passed on to CC local to that area.
We would have to insist on a number of standards to ensure a high quality of service is maintained across the hole area, with uniform, etc.

I'm not sure I like all this talk of standards, uniforms, centralised phone centres, first off it needs policing and it will all cost and in my experience will end in tears.  :(
Why run before we can walk?

Why don't we just start with a loose grouping of East Anglian cc's who network together, pass work around ad hoc, help out with cover for holidays/illness, help fix machinery and maybe have our own "sunny day out" somewhere central like Newmarket (get the beer in Paul).

We can see how it goes from there.

Dennis,

I 100% agree with you.

If I wanted to wear a corporate uniform I'd work for MacDonalds. ;)

It's no good trying to tell each other how to suck eggs.

Let's swap a few jobs etc

Cheers,

Doug

You meen you dont already wear a uniform of sorts?? What I meen is we cant turn up wearing any old thing, I'm sure most of us on the forum come across as proffesionals with logo'd polo shirts, etc, but there are CC's that dont.
