hi there,

we never used to touch the screens in commercial office cleaning, whatever the screen, lcd, tft crt or touch screen, simply for that reason.  it was in our spec that we didnt do them.

i think that people like MISCO used to sell alcohol based wipes for them, therefore office world and staples, other idea woulod be to ask the client if they want them cleaned with any special wipe, you will be amamzed how many clients will then speak to their IT dept and get the wipes for you.

Hi Fox

Having ploughed through the small print in my insurance documents, we are not covered for this type of equipment and therefore we stipulate that we do not touch these items.

It would be really interesting to find out just how much more it would cost to have this cover - think I will ring and find out! I am sure there is a thread on here from someone who specialises in this field may be worth doing a search.

Hope you find what you're looking for!

Maggie :)

Thanks Guys

This question is not for clients but for me!  ;D  I have a very expensive screen and it's looking rather dirty!  We don't cover computer cleaning in our normal daily schedule just dusting of casing.

Lyreco and the like have failed to source anything I would be happy using and my janitorial supplier has only come up with a spray, which is fine in itself but it would have to be applied and a cloth used - which could scratch the screen.

hi there,

all this technology is fine, but as you say keeping it looking lovely is the most difficult part.

i just give my laptop screen a wipe evey now and then, a damo cloth then adry one seems to be fine.

This product is perfect for LCD screens, plasma TV's etc. It will enable you to clean computer screens - thus enhance your service to your customers.

For the domestic cleaners you can sell them on to your clients as they can be used to clean up CD's too.
