On a day as you state above -3 you would salt below the windows, then the water simply doesn't freeze on the ground.
The system heats water on demand - we set it for use at 40 Degrees C. We clean the window, keeping the brush moving quickly to increase the temp of the glass gradually (you would not leave the brush resting in one place as this may cause cracking)
Job done windows clean!
Next the pole hoses are drained (so not to freeze the jets) and when returning to the van the minibore hoses are returned to tank and the frost stat will circulate the water if it drops below 2 degrees C in the hoses. So we avoid the system freezing (jets are the main problem) by doing this.
So by taking a couple of extra simple steps we remove the problem and take care of the H & S at the same time.
