« on: January 03, 2009, 12:18:39 pm »
I haven't said i do wfp on my leaflets just put window cleaning services.
Has anyone had any moaners about using wfp with all the water dripping everywhere and leaving the windows dripping wet or am i worrying for nothing as i don't do traditional ???
Just have visions about customers coming out and saying" what the hells going on here are you making a swimmimg pool"

You'll get a few mate, it's only natural. prepare yourself with a good answer & never show anything but confidence to a customer but still remaining calm, considered & polite at all times.

I had a moaner a while back, it was a job i'd been wanting to drop to be honest, but i get on well with her. It was always done trad as the wooden frames were oxidised. anyway she had them all painted new, so i start to wfp them & she comes running out " what's that thing? you're making a mess" right i thought, here's my chance to get rid. me- "It's the latest technology in window cleaning, it's called the splash & dash system"
Unfortunately she thought this was hillarious & sent me a text later that day saying how good the windows were!!! :o

I always smile and say things like "it must be a bugger when it rains" or "I haven't finshed yet love just got to get the dryer out of the van".

I then just say that if they don't dry properly pease please call me so I can come back correct them.

Had one lately call it a brush on a stick and I want my windows cleaning by hand because it does a better job.
She only moved in 6 months ago, and I think it was the first time she was in when I was cleaning the windows. Had never said anything about the finish up until then.
I have found in the past, it can do some awkward customers good to swap over to another window cleaner for a while, so they can see that not all window cleaners are the same - there are good ones and some not so good ones.
Then they find out why some window cleaners always have space on their rounds and others are always booked up solid. It is always a shame when you can't fit them back on your round because your full up.

Moaning about how it leaves the lawn or drive wet is not a good excuse in my book, what do they do when it rains?  I would actually ask them this?

Personally if they dont like the way i do it, they can pay extra to have it done trad or find someone else. Pretty much most of the cleaners that are any way professional and reliable are wfp ones. I do both ladders and wfp, and use either to my advantage.

wfp cleans better - fact! wfp cleans lasts longer and get less dirty in the time - fact!

But if they want someone else doing them another way they are entitled to their choice, and i wont stand in their way as if they dont have the faith in me to do the job properly i dont want them as a customer.

Most customers dont care how the windows are cleaned as long as they are clean when you are done. Ive even been told i can pee on the windows if they are left clean afterwards  :P
