When i first had the sample box of Solutions from Nick i was going to use it on some domestic work but knowing that i had a VERY HEAVILY soiled night club carpet to clean a few days later i thought id wait and try it there.  The worst area of carpet was that thick with bar tar and hard you could tap the area and it sounded like i was tapping a wooden floor.   I pre-sprayed half of the area with a leading brand chemical and let dwell for 5-10 minutes then extracted using a truckmount.  The carpet cleaned up very well.  I then pre-sprayed the other half using Solutions, i must add this was done using less pre-spray than with the other chemical.  I then cleaned the carpet using the truckmount. The results were the same if not slightly better but this was done with less effort. Also i know it is advisable to aggitate Solutions as with most chemicals but no aggitation was available on the day.

I dont deny solutions MS especially the number 2 HD are capable of producing fantastic results, but I'm surprised you managed to easily clean black top without agitation??

I have on a number jobs been faced with black top, only I've needed the rotary and polyprop brush to help break it down prior to extraction.

Paul,

Do you use Truckmounts??  Please remember that if using a truckmount at say 300psi is different to using a portable at 300psi due to water flow.  The water pressure from a truckmount is like having agitation.  The next time i clean a heavily soiled night club you will be more than welcome to tag along to see the results from Solutions without the agitation.

What dilution rate did you use with Solutions product and what agent was it?

Please don’t take this wrong 99.9% of the time I use Solutions products and did try no2 hd @ 1-8 on this with a rotary with brush no joy



So reverted back to the dark ages product or should I blame the previous cc that used an lm system to clean it

I have an Eclipse so I'm aware of the advantages of high pressure brings and how much its affects improve soil removal, out of interest what GPM does your TM produce?? Its undoubtably more than a high spec porty.

I'm not doubting your results I'm simply surprised MS without prior agitation managed to do the business.

They must be even better than I thought

That particular situation was that bad so i used Solutions No 8, used at 1-16, i cant understand why you couldnt get the result   The truckmount i was using produces 3.5gpm the the water pressure was set at 400psi and i was using a 2 jet wand, heat was between 190- 210 degrees.
