Always a hard one this.
Because you charge by the hour they think they ask anything to fill your time.
Price per job is better but not always easy to get.
Sit client down and agree a schedule of work, what when how
As you get accustomed to the work you get quicker so client wants her "hours worth"it is much better to agree what work is to be completed and make that work fit the time.
Do not walk the dog or wait in for the plumber or decorator or take in the washing or or or unless agreed in the begining.
We now offer a set service for a fixed price, hourly rate doesn't come in to it.
ie kitchen bathroom and bedrooms cleaned for £......
Liken it to window cleaning, they agree a price for all the windows to be cleaned not an hourly rate...............it takes a little while to adjust to the idea but once it clicks it makes all the difference
what is the weirdest task you have been asked to do?
