Just wondered if anyone has had any experience of the new Hyundai van. Toying with the idea of selling my '06 'Expert' with 500 litre factory fitted van mount, & treating myself to new van & hot machine.

Ive got a 10 year old Hyundai van (H100) and its great!

Haven't I'm afraid Dave. Only saw it a couple of days ago just glimmering on the forecourt. Looks good, & of course, the five-year warranty is also eyecatching! When the dealer is open I'll find out the payload etc.

My payload is 1400kg

Seems a shame to sell such a new van. Could you not have your Expert converted to a hot system?

Ive got the brochure for this. It looks like it would be fantastic....one problem. Its terrible for sign writting. Because it has all the old window shapes. It kind of ruins it.

The specs are impressive on it though

Like all Hyundais, the specification is excellent and the value for money is almost unbeatable. It has a 5 year commercial use warranty and will no doubt be one of the most reliable vans on the road after the Hiace.

It should be a hit. Will it be though? probably not because, apart from the nose, it looks like a blanked-off minibus. It actually looks better with the glass back in.

Looking at the prices it cost £13,595 for the comfort version with a very items not in the included price (Metallic Paint, ESP, SatNav).

Only limiting factor is the 1000kg payload, which means that you could only really carry a 650 litre fitted system.

"Only" 650 litres. ;D

I rarely use more than 300L on a busy day.
I think 650 should be enough!

Gary i would check Toyota first, new on road at less than 10k + vat.

Ive recently purchased the 120 as ex demo 8k on clock for 9k + vat, its the best van i,ve ever had & you get the toyota reliabilty aswell. Ialso have an 03 hiace 88bhp thats still running well with 700l system in everyday. Cost very lttle to run.

Converting my present set-up to hot is certainly an option (especially as my van has barely done 20,000 miles) One advantage of a new van though,  would be the upgrade to 650 litres from my existing 500.
Also, I never realised the Toyota 'Hiace' was as reasonably priced as you suggest Gary. Their quality has definitely been praised on this forum.

One thing to consider if you convert is whether with hot you would use as much water, so a hot 500l might go as far as a cold 650l. Just a thought, I've only ever used cold so you would need feedback from hot users on this question.

i have been looking at the hyundai as well it seems a great van

but now i have checked out the toyota, i think thats a much better option

anyone know were is the best place to buy one
