Thanks again for all the info  but another quick question....can you use a second hand ibc? i have priced up new ones and they seem expensive.The second hand ones im looking at have been rinsed out but used to have veg oil in them ,so i would imaginethere would be a oily scum floating on the surface of the water etc.Just has anyone experience of second hand ibc?

bought mine second hand which had been cleanef properly. worked out fine. mate of mine bought one with food produce had been used(veg oil)i think. it had an oily scum on top,we tried everything and gave up eventually and got another one. make sure it has been cleaned thoroughly and not just washed out.

Thought as much,wouldnt wanna be covering custies windows in oil lol

Don`t let used IBC tanks put you off,i use one that use to have PVA glue in it,so i spent a good couple of hours jet washing it out then gave it a rinse with pure water and it`s like new

mine had some sort of cherry liquid in it , no problems , and water has a lovely clean cherry smell 

  does not affect tds though.

the ones contained fruit juice are very easy to clean and will serve you many years to come try D&V fuels in wales they sell good ones and deliver

A couple of hours jet washing!! Surely it would of worked out cheaper buying new and putting those hours on earning???!

yes can recomemd them we have bought a few off them , tho the place is a bugger to find as its out in the sticks

make sure you take a satnav and have a good idea as your mobile may not work . I only found it when i saw one of their lorrys drive down the road !! and i only live down the road from them !! they do a good job of cleaning them or you can buy one thats not cleaned cheaper .
