Gutterman blower
« on: December 16, 2008, 07:38:28 am »
I am arranging for one of these to be shipped over to the uk,it should be here early new year.

http://guttermanblower.com/index.htm

I am getting the 6metre version without the blower so that i can attach it to my industrial vacuum. It may need some modification to the roller head but apparently this should be easy enough, although just using the two suction heads should be enough.

I am waiting for the shipping costs, but my brother in law in perth is arranging this with dhl,so it will be delivered direct to my door.

When it arrives i will post pics of the item and then some pics of it in use.

 :)

I like the idea but would have a few concerns about it....

1. The gutter taking the weight... He doesn't mention the weight of the unit and we all know how dodgy some gutter fittings can be.
2. The blowing.. I don't think I would use it near a conservatory incase it blew a stone on to the glass roof.
3. Some gutters are really narrow because they have the roof tiles going almost in to them. So would it fit in to them....?

Delivery of it to the UK will cost a fortune due to the length of the sections. Might be better and cheaper to get them to send you just the top piece and rig up a pole yourself. You never know it might fit the SL2 base sections or even the poles of another gutter cleaning system.

Postage to uk.....A$400.....approx £170....delivered to my door.

Total cost....£270 approx....plus cost of vacuum....

Can anyone recommend an appropriate industrial vac.I can source the connectors from the GMB pipe to the vacuum (these can be made if not off the shelf...he has one of those cnc tube/pipe benders for making exhaust systems in stainless steel).
