Oldest carpet cleaner?
« on: December 14, 2008, 07:03:49 pm »
Being a mere 57yr old fledgeling and having a useless pension just wondered how much cleaning life I have in me!  ???

Does anyone know what the record is for the oldest C cleaner?

Don't think I can fit a zimmer frame in the Van  ;D

15 months ago I bought a DF system of a guy in Nottingham who, if I remember right, was 71 and just giving up cause of helth reasons.
Made me feel quite young - and I was 60 then.

There's a guy a few miles away from me who must be at least 71 who still cleans carpets with his stimvac, I used to speak to him years ago before I started cleaning as he used to go in the pub where I used to work occassionally he passes work to me that's why I know he's still going.

Dave keeps himself very fit he keeps running those fells (you'd have thought he'd have looked where he was going) and also he earns good money working with Barry Chuckle.

To me to you!

Hi Guys

Thanks Pete, but I've only beem married twice !

However each marriage adds about 10 years to the working life so if I stay single expect to be packing in about 80.

Mind you have had man flu this week but there's still a bit of life left in the old boy yet.

Tony Abbott round here must be getting on for 70 and Dave ware is a fit 63 ish

Cheers

Doug

Ollie

We share the same birthday-Christmas Eve.

The only trouble is I shall be 46!

Still, at least I am nearer to retirement and not having to slog around cleaning carpets.

Roll on 50!
