I want to fit a 650ltr water tank into my van, where can I get the fittings from .
I dont really want ratchet straps, I was thinking of some sort of cage thing

Whether you go for a 'cage thingy' or ratchet straps, they are both only as good as the fixings to the van chassis.

If you get that right, 10 ton ratchet straps are more than adequate.

It's very rare that I disagree with Ian ( All hail the Jedi master of window cleaning from who I learned a whole lot in my early days )  I do on this one but only to an extent.

I would trust his way with a flat tank but not an upright. To get ratchet straps tight enough to prevent forward movement from the top down on an upright would buckle or break the tank.

In my old van I had  Cleantechs ratchet fixings . I had a 250 ltr upright tank and did not think that the fixings was really up to it . I now have a 650 ltr upright tank waiting to be fixed.

i have a scudo fitted with a 500 ltr flat tank , i bought some angle iron and cut to size , and painted with hammerite,

i also used some long 12mm eye bolts from screw fix,

lay ange iron across van floor , 1 at front, and 1 at the back of tank,

i then drilled through angle iron through floor and straight through chassis rails

fitted eye bolts with spreader plates on other side , then used ratchet straps,

my tank is quite secure , and has  not moved at all
